I recently read Mirna Bard’s
excellent post on Blogging for SEO
. I was especially interested in it because of the recent webinar presented by Dan Zarella @danzarella #SEOSCI from HubSpot
in which he explained the new role that SEO and blogging plays with Social Media.There is a lot of conversation now about the relationship between social marketing and SEO and the accompanying myths about SEO. Dan stated that SEO is still important but it no longer functions like you think it does. SEO now is a function of one’s Social Media skills and how Social Media plays a part in how you rank in organic searches. Since blogging is one piece of this puzzle, I looked for information on how to Blog for SEO, thus finding the “Blogging for SEO” post.Ms Bard says that if you are going to seriously Blog (other than your diary) and be found and have the reader Convert (lead to reader to a form of action, compelling the reader to take some action) you need to plan your Blog post by using an outline.
